Our Fennia Prize award winning felt designs are inspired by traditional craftsmanship, Finnish nature and a Nordic lifestyle. We've updated the traditional Finnish felt boot, a winter classic, with modern technical features and a clean Nordic look. The Pomar Felt Collection is designed for comfort in harsh Nordic climates and a modern lifestyle.

Wool felt has outstanding natural properties, it is breathable, resilient and naturally warm. We fully 'winter-proofed' The Felt Collection by adding waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® and Pomar GRIP+ advanced winter soles. You will feel comfy and cosy in any weather, come rain or snow.

Pomar woollen felt is made in Italy. The material consists of 70% wool and 30% polyester and it is repellent. Wool is extremely warm and breathable footwear material. Polyester is added for durability. Wool alone is too frail a material and not durable enough for what we expect from a material in our collection. We feel that well designed waterproof and durable footwear made to stand the test of everyday wear and natural elements is an ecologically sane choice.

Pomar felt is mulesing-free

Felt used by Pomar is made of “mulesing-free” pure new wool sourced from New-Zealand and the UK. Its producer Lanificio Bigagli has a strong standing when it comes to animal rights and ecological issues. They are part of 4sustainability network and committed to developing the sustainability of their production processes. This means for example reducing the amount of chemicals used and thus securing the safety of the work force and end-users and minimizing the impact on nature.
